УРОК ГРАММАТИКИ ЧЕРЕЗ СКАЗКУ
Цель: Ознакомить учащихся с новым грамматическим временем Future
Simple Tense. Однажды давным – давно жили – были КОРОЛЬ и КОРОЛЕВА. Они
жили в королевстве “FUTURE”. Все было у них хорошо. Королеву звали Shally,
но король ласково называл ее SHALL. Короля звали Willy, но королева ласково
называла его WILL. И, как и в любом другом королевстве, были у них слуги-гномы.
Имена у них были немного странные: I, WE, HE, SHE, IT, THEY, YOU. Королеве
служили только два гнома I и WE. Все остальные помогали королю в его хозяйстве.
Были в королевстве некоторые правила. Если гномик собирался что-то сделать,
он обращался с просьбой к хозяину или хозяйке по имени. Например:
SHALL, I go for a walk?
SHALL, WE have breakfast?
WILL, HE drink some water?
WILL, SHE eat tomatoes?
WILL, IT help about the house? И т.д.
Король и королева были очень добрыми и отзывчивыми. Обычно они утвердительно
отвечали гномикам на их просьбы. Счастливые, они становились перед SHALL
и WILL и откланивались, повторяя, что они собираются делать:
I SHALL go for a walk.
WE SHALL have breakfast.
HE WILL drink some water.
THEY WILL swim in the swimming pool.
YOU WILL wear the best clothes. И т.д.
НО... Всегда существует НО. У короля и королевы был любимый КОТ. И звали
его NOT. Он всегда что-то мурлыкал на ушко своим хозяевам. Когда он это
делал, они отрицали все желания бедненьких гномов. Вы только поглядите!
I SHALL (NOT) go for a walk.
THEY WILL (NOT) swim in the swimming pool. И т.д.
Неприязнь к коту передавалась на SHALL и WILL, поэтому в моменты очередного
мурлыканья гномы называли SHALL – SHAN’T, а короля WILL – WON’T.
WE SHAN’T have breakfast.
YOU WON’T wear the best clothes.
В королевстве WILL имел очень много работы и вскоре ему понадобилось больше
помощников, поэтому I и WE стали работать на короля. Подтверждение этому
мы можем увидеть в любом современном учебнике по грамматике.
В данном уроке объединены технология сотрудничества и проектная методика
(а именно ролевая игра). Это только начало урока, но ожидаемый результат,
т.е. знание грамматического материала, уже виден в середине игры. Практическая
часть, где учащиеся меняются ролями, наиболее интересна всем, т.к. каждый
симпатизирует какому-то герою и хочется побывать в его роли, легко справляясь
со сложными грамматическими структурами.
ONCE UPON A TIME...
(Composition – Grammar Fairy-Tale)
Once upon a time there lived a king and a queen. The king’s name was
Willy, but the queen called him WILL for short, and the queen’s name was
Shally, but the king called her SHALL. They lived happily in a very wonderful
place – the kingdom “FUTURE”, and loved each other very much. As rich
people the royal couple had servants: seven little dwarfs, whose names
were very strange: I, WE, HE, SHE, IT, THEY, YOU. They worked well, but
only I and WE served The Queen faithfully; the other dwarfs helped the
King around the kingdom. In “FUTURE” there were some rules of behaviour.
When a dwarf was going to do something, he asked the Master about it,
beginning with the name. For example:
SHALL, I go for a walk?
SHALL, WE have a cake?
WILL, HE drink some water?
WILL, SHE eat tomatoes?
WILL, IT write a letter?
WILL, THEY join us?
WILL, YOU give us some roses? And so on.
Queen SHALL and King WILL were very kind and sympathetic. They usually
complied with the servants’ requests. Standing in front of the masters,
the happy and thankful dwarfs bowed low and repeated what they were going
to do:
I SHALL go for a walk!
WE SHALL have a cake!
HE WILL drink some water!
SHE WILL eat tomatoes!
IT WILL write a letter!
THEY WILL join us!
YOU WILL give us some roses!
But... In every happy story there is always a “but”. The Queen and the
King had a favourite pet. It was a big brown cat, called NOT. It liked
to purr something into the Masters’ ears. Every time it did this, the
royal couple abused the little dwarfs and answered negatively to their
questions. Look!
I SHALL NOT go for a walk!
HE WILL NOT drink any water!
IT WILL NOT write a letter!
At these moments the dwarfs hated the cat and didn’t like SHALL and WILL,
they called them : SHAN’T and WON’T.
WE SHAN’T have a cake!..
SHE WON’T eat tomatoes!..
THEY WON’T join us!..
So the little dwarfs lived in the kingdom of “FUTURE”, having black and
white days. They did what they wanted on sunny warm days, but sometimes
the cat NOT opposed them and black days came – the dwarfs were looking
for different ways to domesticate NOT, but nothing brought results, because
the cat was very-very big and the servants were very-very little. Now
the Queen and the King of “FUTURE” live happily with their cat and dwarfs,
and the rules of their kingdom apply to all who believe in “FUTURE”.
